Bill, a native of Montreat in Western NC, joined the Blue Ridge Realty & Investments team in 2004, while attending Appalachian State University. In 2007, Bill graduated from ASU with a degree in Political Science with minors in Business & Criminal Justice. He obtained his NC Real Estate Brokers license while a full time student. In 2014, Bill and Todd Rice purchased Blue Ridge Realty & Investments which, at the time, had 7 total agents and two office locations. Since that time, their business has grown to include over 50 agents with 6 office locations. Bill is licensed to sell real estate in both North Carolina and Tennessee.  

 

Well versed in the High Country real estate market including Avery, Watauga, and Ashe Counties, Bill is experienced in helping clients build wealth through real estate. His specialties include long term rental property management, student rental housing, investment property, commercial real estate, developments, large acreage tracts, building lots, & residential brokerage.

 

As well as assisting clients with investments, Bill personally invests in rental properties, land tracts, storage facilities, commercial properties and residential properties in the High Country. He has actively managed multi-tenant properties since 2004. He, and fellow Blue Ridge Realty & Investments partner, Todd Rice, own and operate Blue Ridge Professional Property Services, LLC, Boone High Country Rentals, & Ashe Rental Agency with staff spanning 4 counties, all dedicated to property management. These companies offer a full range of property management services including home repair and maintenance, long-term rentals, commercial leasing, and the coordination and preservation of bank-owned properties and absentee homeowners. Bill and Todd also serve the High Country providing insurance through Blue Ridge NC Insurance & Emerald Title Company.

 

While a student at ASU, Bill started High Country Spa and Maintenance, a spa cleaning company which he operated for over a decade.

 

From 2009-2011, Bill served as the Resident Site Manager for Sunalei Preserve, a 1000 acre development on the Tennessee/North Carolina border. As acting manager for Sunalei Preserve, Bill coordinated the grounds maintenance, oversaw property owner rentals for the Main Camp Lodge, and addressed individual property owners’ needs. 

 

Bill is a proud Eagle Scout, avid outdoorsman, Appalachian State Alumni, Yosef Club member, Past Chair of the Appalachian State University Board of Visitors, is a member of the High Country Associations of REALTORS, NC REALTORS, TN Licensed Real Estate Agent & National Association of REALTORS.
